Paragliding in Cádiz, Spain

At Parapente Vejer we offer tandem paragliding flights in the province of Cádiz, in the south of Spain. You sit in front and one of our pilots flies the glider. No experience and no special fitness are needed — just the wish to fly.

We are a registered active tourism company (Andalusian Registry of Active Tourism Companies, no. AT/CA/00437) and we hold the insurance required for this activity.

Where we fly

We fly on the Atlantic coast of Cádiz, around Vejer de la Frontera, Conil and Zahara de los Atunes. We choose the take-off each day according to the wind and the forecast.

Our usual meeting point on the coast is Terraza Bar El Poniente (Crta. Los Militares, s/n, Vejer de la Frontera), close to Conil, Barbate and Zahara de los Atunes.

What to expect

The whole activity takes about 20 minutes. Your pilot explains what to do at take-off — it is very simple — and from then on you just enjoy the view. We keep the time in the air to around that length because, for most people, longer flights can cause motion sickness, and we want you to land with a smile.

Who can fly?

• There is no age limit. Children always fly at the end of the day, when conditions are smoothest.
• Passengers must weigh between 40 and 105 kg. The pilot chooses the best time of day depending on your weight.
• We have flown with older people, people with reduced mobility, paraplegic and blind passengers. If this is your case, tell us beforehand and we will prepare it together.

What to bring: comfortable clothes, trainers or hiking shoes and, in autumn and winter, a warm layer. You can bring your own camera or phone (well secured), or ask us for a flight with video.

Afraid of heights? Many of our passengers are. Vertigo is a feeling you get with your feet on the ground, looking down from an edge — in the air there is no fixed reference, so most people simply don’t feel it.

We fly when the weather allows

Paragliding depends entirely on the weather, and safety always comes first: if the pilot decides it is not the right moment, we don’t fly. Flying forecasts are not reliable more than two days ahead, so we can’t fix a date weeks in advance. Instead, we keep you posted by WhatsApp on the days we are flying, and you choose the one that suits you.

Your booking is valid for one year, and you can renew it for another year free of charge if you ask during its last month. If we can’t fly, you don’t lose what you paid. Bookings are not refundable.

How to request your flight

The easiest way is to talk to us: message us on WhatsApp and we will answer any question about the flight, the weather and the dates.

If you prefer to send us a request, please follow these steps:

1. First, read our tandem flight guide (PDF). It explains how the activity works and, above all, how much it depends on the weather: flying days are only decided one or two days in advance, and there are no guarantees.
2. Then fill in our flight request form. Very important: tell us the day, the days or the date range(s) when you could fly — for example “14 June”, “14, 16 and 18 June” or “from 10 to 20 June”. The more dates you give us, the better your chances of flying.
3. If the weather and the available places allow it on one of those days, we will contact you on WhatsApp to confirm the time and the meeting point. The price is 85 € per person, paid after you fly — no deposit needed.
